500 Word treatment

(i) How it will create or develop Image for the artist (descriptive words that link your idea to how it is creating a personality for the artist - sexy, rebellious, vulnerable, creative, underdog, criminal etc.)

There will be various ways in which we will be able to portray our Artist’s image as well as developing her image to give her more meaning and more of a identity than she already has. Our Artist is sexy but she’s also a deception we figured this out through the lyrics of the song furthermore she will also be portrayed as evil and distinctive. This will be shown by her wearing different black outfits to get off a dark atmosphere; this will allow the audience to get engaged straight away as they know black always results in bad consequences. The fact that she is black shows us that she is evil and by her wearing black it will reflect on some of the lyrics and portray her as the deception which she claims to be.

(iii) How it is on Trend for the Genre (with reference to competitors)

For my music video idea it is slightly on trend with hip- hop music videos as some of the lyrics are interpreted on screen which relates to a hip-hop genre convention.
However, my idea will be different as it uses different elements from different genres e.g. as the song is also pop/hip hop as the beat and tempo of the song is slow.

An example of a trend for the genre is Dominance:
For this trend dominance is important especially in hip-hop genres because it is about the main artist showing off what they have got and their image. In my case, my main artist is going to be the dominant image in the video as it revolves around her.
An example of a genre that shows this trend is Monster by Emeniem, this was also my intertextual reference for my idea of my initial idea.

This is an example of a trend because it is a hip hop music video that shows the artist, Rihanna to be dominant. This relates to current trends as artists nower days focus on their image and how they are seen on screen.



(iv) How and where it will be filmed over how many days (ie how will the shoot be split into sections etc)

1^st day: The first scenes will be seen in a dark room so this will be the first day of shooting as this is when the main character will be sitting on a coach watching a video of his life, (links into the intersexuality of ‘the monster’ music video where he is viewing his life.

2^nd day: We will do the middle bit, as the lyrics will be interpreted.  This will be where she is where he breaks down and starts the artist will be watching him as he is seen a vulnerable. Dolly shoot. He will see her and he will be having her in his head. 

3rd day: The third day is the ending when he wakes up and realized that it was all an illusion and that this was all unreal. Then he wakes up on the road
