Continuity of design:
Since this was the 1st idea for our 'suite of idents' we decided to use narration in our ident and include characters from Sky 1 channels and feature them in the ident doing similar things to relate to the theme that we intended.
Tone:
For the tone of the ident the first one is similar to the theme as it is motivational and nostalgic. The reason why it is nostalgic is because it features previous shows that have aired on sky one which gives an excitement feeling to the audience. The use of the music also adds to this as it is very soft and has a 'warm' feel to it.
Brand Identity:
The brand identity is seen in this ident as it includes the logo at the end and it also features previous material that belongs to Sky 1 e.g. Tv programmes.
Theme:
The theme of our ident is 'coming at you everyday'. This is relevant to our ident channel because we wanted to make it seem like there is a lot of things happening within the show that include drama and adventure which is going to be with you as you watch the show on the channel. The use of the slogan 'coming at you everyday' suggests that there is a lot of interesting shows coming at your way for the audience's enjoyment.
Appeal to Target Audience:
We got our ident to appeal to the target audience by featuring shows in the ident that were popular with most of the target audience for Sky 1 which is Glee, Modern Family, Got to Dance etc. This relates to our target audience as they are young at heart and mostly young in general e.g. 16 -30 year olds.
